In order to make DayZ run in borderless mode, you will need to do a few manual steps, but don’t worry — it’s pretty simple.

Since Fikit DayZ requires the game to run in borderless mode, this guide was created to help you set it up quickly so you can start playing faster.

This guide will not help if your DayZ does not start. Please search online for fixes for that issue first, and once your game is able to launch, come back to this guide.

1. Open DayZ Launcher Parameters

On your DayZ Launcher, click on “Parameters”.

Then, check the “Force Window Mode” option.

2. Open the DayZ Folder

Navigate to your Documents folder and locate the “DayZ” folder.

3. Edit the DayZ Configuration File

Open the “DayZ” folder and locate the file named “DayZ.cfg”.

Open the file using any text editor, such as Notepad or Notepad++.

4. Change the Windowed Value

Find the “Windowed” setting inside the file and change its value to 3, just like in the picture.

5. Save and Protect the File

Save the file, then right-click it, open “Properties”, and enable the “Read-only” option.

Please do not change your in-game video settings afterward, as this may revert the configuration and require you to repeat these steps again.

And that’s it! Once you launch the game again, DayZ will start in borderless mode automatically.
